In 2004, Thanasis and Megan took the reins of Rene Aubrey Old Brompton Road, beginning a new chapter in its story.
More than two decades later, Atelier Rene Aubrey represents its boldest evolution yet.

Creating the Atelier
Creating the Atelier is our most ambitious project yet.
We didn’t want simply to create a beautiful salon. We wanted the clearest expression of who we are, what we stand for and where we are going.
After years of learning, evolving and pushing each other further, we reached a point where the next chapter demanded something bolder. Something entirely our own.
The Atelier is the result.
Every element has been considered with purpose — the space, the atmosphere, the service, the experience and, above all, the way we make people feel.
We have challenged ourselves not to recreate what has come before, but to imagine what comes next.
Our ambition is simple: to create something exceptional and continually raise the standard.
A place that feels relevant today, exciting tomorrow and enduring for generations to come. A place where our heritage gives us confidence, but never limits us.

Since taking the reins in 2004, we have built the salon around something deliberately simple: exceptional hairdressing, genuine relationships and an experience that feels entirely personal.

THANASIS KARALIS
Creative Director
Greek-born, with an instinctive eye for colour, shape and detail, Thanasis is the creative force behind Atelier Rene Aubrey. His approach is highly individual — beautiful, bespoke hair designed around the person rather than the trend.
MEGAN KARALIS
Director
Australian-born, Megan brings warmth, precision and an instinctive understanding of hospitality to the Atelier. She has shaped a client experience that feels effortless, personal and considered — where every detail matters.
